Lorena

When I walked in to photograph sweet Lorena, I was awestruck at the calm of mom and dad. Shooting first-time parents, I often come across a bit of anxiety and worry, if not from a fussy baby, then from sleep deprivation (understandably so, I was that mom!) But not here. These parents were at peace, basking in that newborn bliss. The sunlight filtered into their home, it was warm and cozy, and we took plenty of breaks for feeding. Together we took in the awe and wonder of little fingers and toes, and the tiny sounds unique to fresh human life. There is nothing like new parents to marvel at every tiny detail. These are the moments I love to capture!
